Extend Learning Academies Network (ELAN)
We are proud to be part of the Extend Learning Academies Network (ELAN), a family of nine primary schools working together across North Somerset to provide the very best education for our children.
ELAN officially became a multi-academy trust in October 2017, building on more than a decade of successful collaboration between local schools. Today, the trust brings together:

Banwell Primary School
Bournville Primary School
Locking Primary School
Mead Vale Primary School
Mendip Green Primary School
Milton Park Primary School
Oldmixon Primary School
Walliscote Primary School
Windwhistle Primary School
While each school has its own unique character, community and strengths, we all share a common commitment to delivering an exceptional education for every child.
Being part of ELAN allows our school to benefit from the expertise, support and shared best practice of a wider network of schools. Staff collaborate across the trust to develop teaching and learning, strengthen leadership and create opportunities that enrich children's experiences both inside and outside the classroom.
As a member of ELAN, we retain our individual identity and place within the local community. The trust celebrates what makes each school special and supports us in continuing to meet the needs of our pupils and families.
At the heart of ELAN's work is a shared ambition to provide an extraordinary education for every child. Together, we strive to nurture academic success, personal development and a lifelong love of learning. We aim to equip children with the knowledge, skills and values they need to thrive, make positive contributions to society and fulfil their potential.
Our school also shares the trust's commitment to the ELAN values, which guide everything we do. Developed collaboratively by trustees, school leaders and staff, these values underpin our approach to education, relationships and community, helping us create a culture where children and adults can flourish.
As part of the Extend Learning Academies Network, we are stronger together, working in partnership to ensure every child receives the opportunities, support and inspiration they need to succeed.
